PASSENDE KAPPE

When Demeanor started I always stated that I wanted to work with diverse young creatives to not only inspire but also make products with. Elisa is a visual artist and graphic designer based in Amsterdam currently studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. When thinking about the silk scarf the idea of a mosaic came to mind to not only be an element of the scarf but the main focus point. Elisa came up with the idea to not digitalise it but really put the mosaic together by hand. She started off with different shapes and colours based on imagery, focused on Demeanor and who it represents. The design followed from there with enlarging the image to true size and playing with additions to fill up the scarf. Elisa was moving to New York to study Photography for half a year and came up with the idea to create images with the scarf to expand the view of the art creation for Demeanor. Meanwhile I was treating the scarf as a true art piece which is why I wanted to do the visuals in Het Rijksmuseum. This all came together through learning, creating, good conversations and most of all Family.
